Futureworks: Employability Sessions

A three‑day industry immersion tailored for students in film, TV, art & design, and sound production. Each session focused on creative resilience, adaptability, and professional readiness.

SharpFutures developed a unique three-day course for students studying film & TV, art & design or sound production, each department getting a one day intensive employability session.

The sessions were designed to build knowledge and confidence ahead of graduation, but equally can be useful for any student at any stage of their study who wishes to seek work experience or any type of paid industry work at any point during their course.

The skills they gained are for life and not just for the creative sector, as we will ensure that they are fully prepared to search for work opportunities that allow them to pivot across the creative sector in order to find meaningful and paid employment quickly and to gain ground and confidence over peers graduating from other North HE establishments.

A fast-track support programme to assist the students in finding employment in the sector.
